The humidity at 8.30 am was recorded 81 per cent. The MeT department said no rainfall was recorded till 8:30 am but scattered rains were received at few places later.
"It will generally be a cloudy day. Light rain and thunderstorm could occur after evening in some areas," the MeT department said.
The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to settle at 35 and 26 degrees Celsius respectively.
Yesterday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 35.8 degrees Celsius, two notches above normal for this time of the year. The minimum settled at 28 degrees Celsius, a notch above the normal.
