An art installation using around 200 halogen bulbs depicting the sun has been installed on the banks of river Brahmaputra in Guwahati on the occasion of Chhath Puja today.
The circular shaped installation, named the "Sun of Change", was set upon a large bamboo structure around 60 feet above the ground.
BJP Assam unit president Ranjeet Kumar Dass inaugurated the installation just before the evening Arghya of Chhath Puja.
A local organisation with financial backing from sponsors installed the 'sun' which would be there for two days.
Kamrup (Metro) Deputy Commissioner Dr M Angamuthu said it promises a better future for the people of Guwahati.
