Surprise checks in cental prisons in TN

In surprise checks conducted across Central prisons in the state, Tamil Nadu police have recovered contraband and mobile phones from inmates.
In the last two months, searches and 'surprise checks' were conducted and around 700 gm of ganja, 23 mobile phones, 15 sim cards and Rs 1500 cash were recovered from inmates in Central Prisons, a police press release here said. "In this connection, complaints have been given in concerned police stations," it said, adding such checks will be conducted on regular basis.
