The 55-year-old former "Britain's Got Talent" finalist received medical treatment after allegedly having a heated argument with a staff member in the British Airways lounge, reported Aceshowbiz.
"Nobody knows what started the argument but I was told it was something small that spiralled out of control," a source said. Cops were called and she was removed from the airport.
The incident happened while Boyle was waiting to catch a flight back to her home in Glasgow. A representative for the singer blamed the airport meltdown on her Asperger's Syndrome. She has since been released from hospital and is now recovering at home.
