An anonymous caller phoned Warangal police station claiming that a bomb is planted on Swarna Jayanti Express, which later turned out to be a hoax, they said.
As the word spread, scores of passengers rushed out of the stationary train at platform in panic, police said, adding that nobody was injured in the incident.
Bomb disposal and dog squads searched the train for any suspected object but could fine none following which the train was cleared for departure at 7 PM.
