Swaroop new Chief Information Commisioner, Jharkhand

Aditya Swaroop, a retired IAS officer of Jharkhand cadre, today became the state's Chief Information Commissioner.
Governor Syed Ahmed today administered the oath to the 1982 batch IAS officer at the Raj Bhavan here.
Chief Minister Raghubar Das, Chief Secretary Rajiv Gauba and several other senior officers were present at the oath-taking ceremony, an official release said here.
A three-member committee headed by the chief minister approved his name recently.
The other two members of the committee are Rural Development Minister Nilkanth Singh Munda and leader of opposition Hemant Soren (JMM).
