A sweeper in a government hospital allegedly cut a one-year-old boy's little finger in a bid to remove a tube from his hand in Barmer, police said today.
The incident occurred yesterday in the government district hospital when a sweeper brought a scissor to cut the tube and unknowingly cut the boy's finger, they said, adding, that the finger was not separated.
The parents of the hospitalised boy were requesting doctor to discharge the boy since they had a function at their home, police said.
Since the boy was not well, the doctor on duty refused to discharge him.
No case has been lodged in this connection, police said.
The boy, who is suffering from fever, is still in hospital, they said.
