Swine flu toll touches 50 in Punjab

The death toll due to swine has reached 50 in Punjab so far this year with one more patient succumbing to HINI virus in the state, an health department official said today.
One more persons has succumbed to H1N1 virus in the last two days, an official spokesman of Punjab Health department said here.
A total of 50 people have succumbed to H1N1 virus in Punjab. The number of positive cases has reached 244 while the suspected number of patients is 605, he said.
According to the official, three new patients have tested positive for the deadly HINI virus including one from SAS Nagar and two from Ludhiana.
