The Telangana State Election Commission on Friday said it would shortly notify elections to Municipalities and Municipal Corporations where polls are due.
Only those persons whose names are found in the ward wise photo electoral rolls are eligible to vote in the elections, the SEC said in a release.
It said only those names found in the Assembly Electoral rolls as on the date of election notification would be included in the ward wise electoral rolls of the Municipality or Municipal Corporation.
Citizens who crossed 18 by January 1, 2019 and residing in the jurisdiction of Municipalities and Municipal Corporations going to polls, should see that their names are registered in the Assembly Electoral Roll concerned so that it can be included in the Municipal Electoral Rolls, it added.
