Seeking to fulfill an electoral promise made by the TRS during the recent poll campaign, the Telangana government Thursday set in motion the process for conducting ENT and dental check-ups for the people of the state from next month.
During a meeting with the officials concerned on medical and health issues, Telangana Chief Secretary SK Joshi directed them to draw up an appropriate action plan to conduct ear, nose, throat (ENT) and dental check-ups to people of the state from February, an official release said.
He said Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has identified health as a major priority area.
In the run-up to the recently concluded assembly elections, Rao had said the state government would provide free ENT and dental check-ups for people and prepare health profiles.
