Jharkhand Governor Draupadi Murmu today cancelled the customary At Home function at Raj Bhavan as part of the Independence day celebration following the critical condition of former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
Raj Bhavan spokesman said the cancellation was directed by the governor following the critical condition of Vajpayee.
Like in the past, invitation for the "t Home" function at the Raj Bhawan as part of Independence day celebration was given to ministers, senior civil and police officials and mediapersons.
But, in view of critical health condition of the Vajpayee it was cancelled.
The news of Vajpayee's falling health has saddned people of Jharkhand along with other countrymen.
Chief Minister Raghubar Das expressed distress at the ill health of Vajpayee and prayed for his speedy recovery.
BJP activists and several other people are praying for the speedy recovery of the former prime minister.
