"It has come to our notice that some people, using forged letters, are misguiding bureaucrats by claiming Anna Hazare has appointed them to tehsil, district and state-level committees. This is to clarify that all committees under the Bhrashtachar Virodhi Jan Andolan (Trust) have been disbanded two years ago. We have not appointed any activist on any government committee," Hazare said in a statement at his native village Ralegan Siddhi in Ahmednagar district.
Legal action should be taken against those misusing my name and that of the BVJA, he said.
"The agitation should be to fight social injustice and not for vested individual interests," he said.
