Srirangam has an 80 per cent electorate with agriculture background and there would be a winning chance, if a common candidate was fielded by all the farmer bodies and organisations, S Nallasami, coordinator of the Movement, said in a release today.
The movement has already announced its support to such a candidate, he said.
The candidate for the February 13 by poll will be announced on January 18 at a meeting scheduled at Salem, Nallasami said.
