Taraji Henson apologises to police for racial profiling claim

"Empire" star Taraji P Henson took to Instagram to apologise to Glendale police for accusing them of racially profiling her 20-year-old son Marcel.
Taraji's apology came after Glendale police released a video footage which proved there was no evidence of racial profiling involved with the traffic stop, reported Ace Showbiz.
The 44-year-old "Empire" star wrote, "I would like to apologise to the officer and the Glendale Police Department. A mother's job is not easy and neither is a police officer's. Sometimes as humans we over react without gathering all the facts. As a mother in this case I over reacted and for that I apologise. Thank you to that officer for being kind to my son."

She captioned it, "#TurningANegativeIntoAPositive #LoveTarajiPHenson."
Taraji made headlines last week after claiming that Glendale police racially profiled her son during a traffic stop back in October.
However, the video footage provided by police on Friday showed Marcel was pulled over by a cop in Glendale for running a yellow light at a crosswalk. When the officer asked Marcel if he had ever been arrested and if there's anything illegal in his car, he admitted to having marijuana but couldn't find his prescription card.
Due to his cooperation with police, the officer decided to only give Marcel a citation for the weed possession.
