Tassaduq Mufti resigns as Coordinator, CMs Grievance Cell

Tassaduq Hussain Mufti today resigned as coordinator of the Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister's Grievance Cell amid reports that he set to join the Mehbooba Mufti government as a minister.
Tassaduq Mufti has submitted his resignation to Chief Secretary B B Vyas, an official spokesman said today. He was appointed coordinator, J&K CM's Grievance Cell, in May this year.
Decks are being cleared for the inclusion of Tassaduq Mufti, brother of Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, in her ministry and getting him nominated to the legislative council, sources said.
According to PDP sources, 45-year-old Tassaduq Mufti is expected to get the tourism portfolio.
A cinematographer by profession, Tassaduq Mufti holds a Masters degree in Fine Arts from the American Center. He is also the the brain behind a five-minute short-film on the state's tourism department.
Tassaduq Mufti is expected to be nominated to the legislative council for a seat that fell vacant after the resignation of Vikramaditya Singh, the grandson of the last Dogra ruler Maharaja Hari Singh, sources said adding that all formalities to nominate him to the council had been completed.
