Tata Chemicals get award for CSR project

Fertiliser maker Tata Chemicals today said it has received an award for its 'Dharti Ko Aarpan' CSR initiative at the 6th edition of AIMA's Business Responsibility Summit 2014.
Based on principles of sustainability, 'Dharti Ko Aarpan', meaning giving back to the Mother Earth, is a Tata Chemicals' initiative in ecology preservation, species conservation and protection of biodiversity.
The Responsibility Summit organised a case study contest on the "Best CSR Practice" to encourage firms and institutions from across the country to showcase their CSR and responsible business practices.
"This recognition will encourage us further in our continuous journey towards sustainable development. We believe that when we have an innovative approach, we can make every penny reach places where it is most needed and can be used in the best possible way," Alka Talwar, Head (Sustainability) at Tata Chemicals said.
