With a view to increasing its global presence, Tata Housing, the realty arm of Tata Group, has opened an office in Dubai to cater to the growing demand from consumers in that region.
"This office will further strengthen our global presence, in addition to existing international offices in Maldives and Sri Lanka," the company's Managing Director Brotin Banerjee said in a statement.
He added that the move is in line with its efforts to provide the best-in-class service to prospective consumers.
"With the overwhelming response received from the NRI customers, we believe this is the right time for NRIs to buy their dream homes in India," he said.
Currently, NRIs contribute between 15-20 per cent of the total sales and this has been increasing since the last few years.
"We expect this to increase to 25-30 per cent in the next 3-4 years," he said, adding that the company will now be able to reach out to NRIs who constitute more than 30 per cent of the population in UAE.
The Gulf market has witnessed rapid strides in the past decade with Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) contributing more than 50 per cent of the international sales.
"Opening office in Dubai reaffirms our commitment to this important market and will enable us to provide support to our increasing number of customers from the UAE," Banerjee said.
Meanwhile, the company has offered a limited period offer 'Happy Returns' on the occassion of opening the new office for NRIs.
Under the scheme, the customer will get 72,000-10,00,000 Jet Privilege Miles on the purchase of a home across the Tata Housing projects in India, the company said.
"This offer is applicable to any customer living outside of India with a valid non-resident Indian status, including Indian passport holders, those having valid work permits outside India and green card holders," the statement said.
