Varma, the MLA from Pithapuram constituency, said his 21-year-old daughter Kavyapadmaja passed away yesterday at a private hospital at Kakinada after she was suddenly fell ill.
Kavyapadmaja arrived at her residence at P Donthamuru village in Pithapuram Mandalam yesterday morning and was scheduled to visit a ghat in the district to take holy dip, but she started to complain of severe headache, Varma said.
The girl was rushed to a local hospital from where she was taken to a private hospital in Kakinada. But doctors at Kakinada declared her brought dead.
Kavyapadmaja was a student of BMM course in Hyderabad.
