Tea Board of India has put on hold the settlement system module for e-auction for a period of four weeks from today.
The decision to put the settlement system temporarily on hold followed a meeting between Tea Board chairman Santosh Sarangi and other stakeholders including the NSE.IT and Bank of India, officials said.
Earlier, the tea trade complained of technical glitches in payment settlement which was coordinated by the designated Bank of India with the help of NSE.IT, which designed the software.
Tea Board had started pan-India e-auction since June this year, officials said.
