The police said quoting an FIR filed by the woman at Jagacha police station that a 28-year-old man, identified as Rajen Ray, passed lewd comments at her and subsequently pulled her hand inside the bus.
When she raised an alarm, a fellow passenger dialled the Kolkata Police helpline number '100', a little after which policemen arrived and arrested the man after asking the bus to stop at Santragachi, the police said.
Later, the woman, who is a teacher of the Santragachi Central School, lodged an FIR at the Jagacha police station in Howrah district.
