Team visits Aalo and Pasighat

A team of officials from
Airports Authority of India (AAI), Indian Air Force (IAF), Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and Bureau of Aviation Security BCAS led by Arunachal Pradesh civil aviation director Repo Ronya have visited the advance landing grounds (ALG) at Aalo and Pasighat.
During their visit yesterday, they also inspected the feasibilities of a civil terminal for the ALGs to operationalize commercial flights in future.
At Pasighat, Ronya held a detailed discussion with the visiting team along with East Siang DC Bani Lego and sought support from the Central team to resolve all pending issues, an official release said here today.
During a field visit, Lego asked the visiting team to start domestic flights immediately with the existing infrastructure with minimum facility up-gradation wherever feasible.
Group Captain (Rtd) Mohonto Panging who was also present on the occasion said that the Pasighat ALG has full potential to introduce a civil terminal.
At Aalo, the officials were led by West Siang DC Gamli Pandu.
After visiting the ALG, the officials said that natural obstructions surrounding the town are posing disturbances for landing of big passenger aircraft and fighter planes.
Civil aviation director Ronya assured the officials that efforts were being made by the department of civil aviation to locate feasible landing ground within the district for landing of all kinds of airplanes.
