Financial details of the contract were not disclosed.
In a statement today, Tech Mahindra said: "It has signed an agreement with Bombardier Aerospace. As part of this engagement, Tech Mahindra will provide engineering solutions to Bombardier."
Tech Mahindra and Bombardier have signed a mutual agreement that will lead Tech Mahindra to work with Bombardier globally, it added.
"Tech Mahindra plans to invest significantly in infrastructure and talent in the Montreal (Canada) region. Tech Mahindra aims to grow its Canada team to 1,200 people in the next five years," the country's fifth largest software services firm said.
"This is a major win for Tech Mahindra. Our deep domain expertise in Aerospace and Engineering coupled with the ambition of growing Canada as an aerospace headquarters will be beneficial for our North American and Global customers," Tech Mahindra Head (North America) Lakshmanan Chidambaram said.
Bombardier Aerospace VP and Chief Procurement Officer Kristopher Pinnow said the company's focus will be on supporting more efficiently the existing platforms while developing newer products in a cost effective manner.
