The accused, Satnam Singh, was going to drop the girl to her parents' house in Dera Pathana village on his motorcycle.
On the way, the accused allegedly took her to an abandoned field and raped her.
He later threatened her with dire consequences if she disclosed the incident to anyone.
But she brought the incident to her mother's notice.
An FIR was yesterday registered against Satnam for rape and he was arrested today, SHO of Dera Baba Nanak Police Station, Paramjit Singh said.
