The incident took place yesterday when the victim, studying in class VIII, was stalked by the accused, identified as Kurandanu Bhaskara Rao, as she was on her way to school in Vakapally village, Sub-Inspector P Nagadurga Rao said.
The accused forcefully made her board his Vehicle and drove it to a secluded field in the outskirts of the village where he allegedly raped her, he added.
The auto rickshaw driver fled from the spot after committing the offence, he said.
Police has traced the auto-rickshaw and efforts are on to nab the accused.
Further Investigation is underway, he added.
