Monti died on the spot last night during the celebratory gunfire here, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Nitin Tiwari said.
The body has been sent for post-mortem, he said.
Rajkumar, the minor's father, has refused to take any legal action in the case, the SSP said, adding, he claimed that he does not know who fired the gunshot during the ceremony.
