Telangana: Congress MLA to quit party

Congress legislator from Khammam in Telangana P Ajay Kumar today said he has decided to resign from the party claiming it did not give him "due importance".
"I tried to save the party in the district (Khammam). However they (the party) failed to recognise my services. I was discriminated against others in the allotment of party posts also," Kumar told reporters.
In the 119-member Telangana Assembly, Congress presently has 16 MLAs.
