The assignment is to draft both the principal legislation and the corresponding rules, NALSAR said in a statement.
"This assignment of drafting of legislation is extremely timely against the backdrop of the fact that the State of Telangana, despite being the youngest state in India, has attained the first rank at the national level in Ease of Doing Business (EODB), a ranking given by the department of Industrial Promotion and Policy, Ministry of Commerce, for the year 2016," it said.
The assignment is in recognition of NALSAR's contribution in the reformation brought about in the legislative framework of the state in the past two years, it said, adding, NALSAR has recently reviewed/revised and re-drafted the entire set of 112 legislations relating to land laws of the Telangana.
NALSAR has also submitted Juvenile Justice Rules and State Agricultural Marketing Rules to Telangana Government, it was stated.
