The Telangana Legislative Council would meet here from Thursday.
The Legislative Assembly was dissolved earlier this month following a recommendation made by the state cabinet and a caretaker government is in place.
The Council meeting is understood to be taking place as per the requirement that it should meet at least once in six months.
Meanwhile, caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao met Governor ESL Narasimhan at Raj Bhavan Wednesday, official sources said.
State Chief Secretary S K Joshi, DGP M Mahendar Reddy and other police officials also had a meeting with the Governor during the day, they said.
