Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao called on Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis in Mumbai and discussed issues related to utilisation of Godavari river waters, a press release by the Telangana CM's office said.
"Both the leaders have come to a conclusion that six TMC of water will be used by farmers of both states from the Lendi project. It was also decided to complete the Lower Penganaga project," the release said.
The Telangana CM sought co-operation from his Maharashtra counterpart to complete the Pranahita-Chevella project, since the central government is "willing" to accord it the status of a national project, the release said.
