Telangana to sign MoUs for Blockchain Technology

: Telangana is set to enter into MoUs with a few players, experts in Blockchain Technology, to adopt it in some government applications, said a senior official of the State government today.

"We are planing to implement Blockchain Technologies in six or seven government applications. We will be signing MoUs with a few companies in the upcoming International Blockchain Congress to be held next month month," the state's IT and Industries Secretary Jayesh Ranjan said at a press conference here.

The idea is bring more transparency and efficient service to the people, he added.

He however, declined to name the areas in which Blockchain Technology will adopted.

Meanwhile, a three-day international Blockchain Congress will begin here on August 3.

The first two days of the conference will be held here while the third day of the event will be held in Goa, said Abhishek Pitti, CEO of Nucleus Vision orgainser of the event said.

He said Telangana Minister for IT and Industries KT Ramarao, Goa IT minister Rohan Khunte, NITI Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant would be among the guests at the event.

Pitti said over 3,000 participants are expected to attend the meeting with over 80 speakers.
