Chandigarh recorded a minimum temperature of 12.2 deg C, three notches above the normal level, a MeT report said.
In Haryana, Ambala recorded a low of 11.5 deg C, two degrees higher than the normal limit. Hisar's low of 9.5 deg C settled within the normal limit.
Karnal (11.5 C) and Bhiwani (9.2 C) also recorded above normal minimum temperatures, the report said.
In Punjab, Ludhiana registered a low of 9.5 deg C, one notch up from the normal temperature, while Patiala's minimum settled at 10.2 deg C, a degree up from the normal limit, it said.
A few places in the region were lashed by light rains yesterday.
