Temperatures hover close to normal in Punjab & Haryana
Press Trust of India Chandigarh Maximum temperatures in most parts of Punjab and Haryana today settled around normal levels with Hisar being the hottest place in the two states at 41.5 degrees Celsius.
Chandigarh recorded a maximum temperature of 36.9 degrees Celsius, the MeT Department said here.
In Haryana, Karnal recorded a maximum of 37 degrees Celsius while mercury in Ambala settled at 37.5 degrees Celsius, it said.
In Punjab, Amritsar recorded a maximum temperature of 36.8 degrees Celsius.
In Ludhiana and Patiala, mercury settled at 35.6 and 36.9 degrees Celsius respectively.
According to the weatherman, light to moderate rain/thundershowers are likely at few places in the two states for the next two days.
