Temps cross 40-degree mark at few places in UP

Temperatures in Uttar Pradesh today breached the 40-degree mark at a few places with Etawah being the hottest at 42.2 degrees Celsius, the MeT department said.
Lucknow recorded a maximum temperature of 39.3 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 21.4 degrees Celsius.
Allahabad recorded 42 degrees Celsius, Fatehgarh 41.8 degrees Celsius, Varanasi 41.2 degrees Celsius, Agra and Jhansi 40.6 degrees Celsius each and Sultanpur 40 degrees Celsius.
The MeT has predicted mainly clear skies that might become partly cloudy, and likely rain or thunder showers at isolated places in the state.
It has also warned of thunderstorm accompanied with squall at isolated places.
