Texmaco Rail & Engineering posts 92% rise in Q2 profit

Texmaco Rail & Engineering Ltd today posted a massive 92.2 per cent jump in standalone net profit at Rs 17.07 crore for the quarter ended September.
Its net profit in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal stood at Rs 8.88 crore, Texmaco Rail & Engineering Ltd said in a BSE filing.
Company's net income from operations during the quarter increased to Rs 236.56 crore, over Rs 130.32 crore in the year-ago period.
Total expenses of the company increased to Rs 230.67 crore as against Rs 136.04 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.
Shares of the company closed at 111.80 apiece, up 1.31 per cent on the BSE.
