The recent Hotel Price Index (HPI) report by Hotels.Com showed that three Thailand cities - Bangkok, Phuket and Pattaya - are in the top 10 destinations explored by Indian travellers in the last two years.
Besides Thailand, other South East Asian countries that saw maximum visitors from India were Singapore, Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, according to the study.
Among the domestic destinations- Delhi, Mumbai, Goa, Bengaluru, Chennai and Jaipur continued to reserve the top six spots for the international tourists.
However, the land of Taj Mahal Agra, the Indian city that is known for attracting international tourists, dropped by two spots.
Agra has moved from its seventh position to ninth spot, giving way to Hyderabad and Thiruvananthapuram in 2013, the study said.
The Hotels.Com Hotel Price IndexTM (HPI) is a regular report on hotel prices in major destinations across the world and is based on bookings made on Hotels.Com and prices shown are those actually paid by customers per room per night.
