Based on the book by David Ebershoff, "The Danish Girl" is the remarkable love story inspired by the lives of Lili Elbe and Gerda Wegener (Redmayne) and Alicia Vikander (Ex Machina).
The film is directed by Tom Hooper of "The King's Speech" and "Les Miserables".
It was screened in the main competition section of the 72nd Venice International Film Festival, Special Presentations section of the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival and most recently had its premiere in International Film Festival of India (IFFI).
