The key art shows a girl standing on a pile of wreckage waiting to be saved while a ship, presumably the USS Nathan James led by Eric Dane's Tom Chandler, is seen in not so far distance, reported Ace Showbiz.
The two-minute trailer which was screened during WonderCon Anaheim 2015 over the weekend, meanwhile, teases the appearance of a new enemy, the ship crew's two goals and some internal conflicts as they're desperate to save humankind.
Based on William Brinkley's popular novel, "The Last Ship" became a new hit after it debuted last summer on TNT. It ranked first as basic cable's new series with an average of 14.5 million viewers across multiple platforms.
