Lord and Miller will still squeeze in production for the film around their work on the "Star Wars" Han Solo spinoff movie, but Rob Schrab is directing this time around.
Dan Lin and Roy Lee are also producing, reported Digital Spy.
Last month it was announced that the film would be delayed by a whopping nine months, moving from May 8, 2018 to February 8, 2019.
A Ninja-themed spin-off called Ninjago will follow on September 22, 2017.
