Chevron lost his battle with cancer in October and now it has emerged he had been busy creating a tribute show to the 'Fairytale of New York' hitmakers with Simon's help, reported Digital Spy.
The play is still in its early stages, but once complete, it will premiere at The Druid Theatre Company in Galway, Ireland.
Screenwriter Simon is no stranger to The Pogues. He featured a number of the band's tracks, including 'The Body of an American', in scenes for gritty drug drama 'The Wire', and he even helped Pogues rocker Spider Stacy land a small role as a street musician in another of his series, 'Treme'.
