The theft occurred early today, at around 3.30AM to 6.30AM at the painter's Kasba Road house in the Kasba Police Station limits, they said.
A number of paintings, old camera, old mobile phone, old sarees and one water pump were stolen.
Based on the complaint lodged by the painter's kin, Kolkata Police has started a probe into the matter.
Brahma, best known for his Bengal School of Art works, passed away this August following age-related illness.
Born in 1924 at Barisal in Bangladesh, Brahma had studied in Kolkata where he also had the opportunity to work under personalities like Nandalal Bose and Lakshmeshwar Singha at Santiniketan.
