Members of a city-based think-tank, which opposes any sort of extremism in Islam, today held a silent protest here condemning the recent stand taken by US Presidential-hopeful Donald Trump on barring Muslims from entering the US.
The think-tank, Tawazun India, also signed a petition addressed to US Ambassador to India Richard Varma, opposing the Republican candidate's entry to India.
"Trump is trying to write racism in the law books. His 'Islamophobia' doesn't reflect India's values or American values," Tawazun Movement co-founder Asif Iqbal said addressing the protest rally.
