Actor Thomas Gibson has been dismissed from "Criminal Minds" following an on-set argument with the show's producer.
The 54-year-old TV star, who was a part of the CBS series since its inception, reportedly kicked a writer on the sets, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
"Thomas Gibson has been dismissed from 'Criminal Minds'. Creative details for how the character's exit will be addressed in the show will be announced at a later date," producers ABC Studios and CBS Television Studios said.
Later the "Chicago Hope" actor responded to his dismissal and said he loved the show and gave his 100 per cent in its each episode.
"I love 'Criminal Minds' and have put my heart and soul into it for the last 12 years.
"I had hoped to see it through to the end, but that won't be possible now. I would just like to say thank you to the writers, producers, actors, our amazing crew, and, most importantly, the best fans that a show could ever hope to have," Gibson said.
The actor was initially only suspended for the incident, but now he is officially out from the show.
