Three persons have been arrested from the city Friday for allegedly manufacturing milk using fake milk powder and other chemicals, police said.
Around 312 litres of milk besides, various chemicals were also seized, the police said.
Acting on a tip-off a raid was conducted by the personnel of Muchipara Police Station and three persons were caught in the act of manufacturing milk with the fake milk powder and chemicals and arrested.
"We had information that some persons were manufacturing fake milk using chemicals and supplying them to households and shops, including sweet shops. We have seized materials and going to conduct medical tests on them," the police added.
