Three arrested on suspicion of cow slaughter in Etah

Three persons were arrested in Uttar Pradesh's Etah district when they were allegedly taking cows to a slaughter house, police said today.
Acting on a tip off, police arrested the suspects near Pahraiya village under Raja ka Rampurkotwali when they were carrying three cows to a slaughter house in Bhargain village in a pick upvan, Raja Ka Rampur SHO Aditya Kumar said.
The accused were booked underthe Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act.
The cows were handed over to the villagersto take care of them till completion of the probe, the SHO said.
