Three boys electrocuted in canal

Three boys were electrocuted when a high-voltage cable fell in a canal in in Dhola village in Baghpat district today.
The victims were identified as Shivam (15), Ankit (17) and Ankit (16).
The incident took place when the three boys were washing cattle in the canal and a 11,000 volt wire fell into it, electrocuting them, police here said.
The mishap also claimed the lives of six cattleheads, they said.
Meanwhile infuriated over the incident, villagers indulged in brickbatting on the police party and hospital and senior officials rushed there to pacify the mob, police added.
