Outpost in-charge of Sarai Ghaar Haroon Lateef and two constables have been suspended in connection with death of Manoj (20) in police custody yesterday, Additional Superintendent of Police Shambhu Sharan Yadav said.
He said Manoj was arrested last week in Chennai for eloping with a Class XI girl from here.
An FIR was registered against him for kidnapping at Raipur police station here on January 28.
Manoj had fled to Chennai from where he was arrested and being brought back, Yadav said.
However, Manoj's family members have accused the police of killing him.
