The disease broke out in Dhanour Mushar area a couple of days ago afflicting about 40 people who were rushed to Primary Health Centre (PHC)for treatment.Three children among the afflicted died last night, Sub-Divisional Officer, East, Sunil Kumar said.
The deceased children were identified as Manchal Kumari (5), Bharti (3) and Dhiraj,he said adding that 36 others sick people were undergoing treatment.
Kumar said that he had visited the affected locality with a team of doctors to bring the situation under control.
