According to prosecution, the girl had gone to a shop on February 27 that year near the house of 64-year-old Jyotish Bhowmik who, with the pretext of giving the girl a mobile, took her to the back of a plywood mill at Bogram under Raiganj police station at about 4 PM.
Bhowmik, a leader of motor workers, along with Anil Saha (41) and Sujit Saha (35), driver and khalasi of a bus respectively, raped her several times during the night.
