The incident occurred when Anjali Banjara (12), and two sisters, identified as Raveena (10) and Anjali (9), were taking bath after fetching water from the well, located near the residence of one Mangilal Banjara, a police official said.
"As one of the girls slipped and fell into the well, the rest two jumped to rescue her. However, all of them drowned as they didn't know swimming," said Kotwali police station inspector Rajendra Verma.
The bodies were fished out and handed over to their families after conducting postmortem, he said.
