The Sihani Gate police here arrested three people on charges of robbery and murder, an official said on Sunday.
They had allegedly looted and murdered Sanjay Saini who used to transfer money online to mobile recharge retailers, police said.
Sanjay was robbed and murdered by the owner of a communication shop, his brother and neighbour.
The body was then thrown into the Hindan river, police said.
DSP Atish Kumar said Sanjay had gone missing on February 7 after which his father Jaipraksh Saini lodged a complaint, stating that his had gone for the collection of the transferred money in Nand Gram Colony.
During investigation, police found that Sanjay had called his wife last time on February 7 evening around 5.30 pm.
As per his last mobile location, police on Saturday called the owner of Balaji Communication, Neelesh, for interrogation.
Police said he confessed to robbing and killing Sanjay with the help of his brother Dinesh and neighbour Gaurav.
The accused told police that they took Sanjay to their house and battered him to death by iron rods and snatched Rs 1 lakh from him.
The body was wrapped in a tarpaulin sheet and thrown into the Hindan river, police said
